ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNND i still love him!!! ♥ happy valentines day to my wonderful goofy husband! he is amazing and always knows what to say and do to keep my happy and cheer me up!! he is truly an amazing person!! Time is flying by with him!! It seems like we just met!! ♥

Yesterday I told Micah I wasn't feel very good, and if we could take it easy on our workout....WELL an easier workout to Micah was to do one less stadium, and add on 2 sprints at the end of our workout!!! HAHA I am so glad I have a husband who pushes me. He is always pushing me to do better, and be the best! He is an amazing man, and I'm excited to see what is in store for his/our future! ♥

mmmm chicken marsala

Last night for sunday dinner i made chicken marsala!! not to brag but it was pretty much the bomb.com! :) micah loved it as well as my family!! :) it's our new favorite! here is the recipie!! i substituted the marsala wine with cooking wine, and grape juice tho! :) cuz the marsala was pretty expensive, and i had the other two already!

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/4 tsp plus 1/8 salt divided
1/4 tsp pepper
3 Tbsp olive oil divided
1/2 lb sliced baby portobello mushrooms
2 garlic cloves minced
1 cup marsala wine (or in my case 1/2 C cooking wine and 1/2 C grape juice)
2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese divided
2 Tbsp minced fresh parsley

1. sprinkle chicken with 1/4 tsp salt and pepper. in a skillet, cook chicken in 2 tbsp oil over medium heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 170 degrees. Remove and keep warm.

2. In the same skillet, saute mushrooms in remaining oil until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer.

3. add wine, stirring to loosen browned bits from pan. bring to a boil; cook until liquid is reduced by a third. stir in cream and remaining salt. return to a boil; cook until slightly thickened.

4. Return chicken to pan; add 1/3 cup cheese. cook until cheese is melted. sprinkle with remaining cheese; garnish with parsley.

It is soooooo declicious! a new family favorite!! ♥

Micah and I have been trying to get into shape since we both kinda got super busy for a while and had pretty much NO time to work out!! It has been so nice getting back into shape. Since it has been getting warmer we do our run, and have been going on walks as well! The other day we walked out by the lake!! It was so pretty!! We thru ice chunks in the lake! :) and skipped rocks as well. We were out there alone and it was so peaceful and beautiful! We were actaully able to have a nice quiet time together! Our cats have been acting crazy lately!! They are so funny, Sammy is getting older and more obidient. It is so nice. He still likes to follow what little Bolt is doing, but when we tell him no, he has learned what it means. Bolt on the other hand is still learning! :) We love them tho and they are just adorable! Last night Micah and I went to the high school, and ran a few miles and did some stadiums. I felt so out of shape!! Then we went home and lifted! I am so greatful that I have Micah to push me, becuase I don't think i would have worked out as hard as I did last night! I love having a work out partner!! On sunday nights we have family dinners with my parents and Kira and Dave. We take turns at whose house it is at!! This week it is our house and I'm making Chicken Marsala! :) I'm super excited, cuz it is my favorite meal and i've never made it before!! :)

When you get married, your whole life changes. Everything you knew before, is quite different. Living with one person of the opposite sex, learning how to live with someone new, cooking for two, figuring out schedules, bigger bills, deciding on when to start a family, comprimising. It's a completely new lifestyle. NO wonder they say the first year is the hardest! you are learning so much about life, and what it is really about. this blog is about me and micah, and our lives from here on out.
