I have absolutely loved being a stay at home mom the past few months. It is truly amazing to stay home and watch your child develop and learn new things. I have loved keeping up on laundry, keeping everything clean, and having dinner ready for micah when he gets home. That is on a good day for carson. If hes not feeling great you can forget about the above. But one thing that is a huge change is the fast paced work environment where i have to think quick on my toes, helping random strangers, making sales, and having a kagillion things on a list that needs done. Since i can remember i have always jam packed my schedule. In high school i did soccer, basketball, tennis, marching band, jazz band, concert band, And as many other things i could.manage to cram into.my schedule. So if you can imaginr what a wide open schedule feels like to me.
Im not complaining about being a stay at home mom it really is wonderful. It will just take some getti.g used to and i will need to find some hobbies. A friend of mine convinced me to step waaaay out of my comfort zone and try out for a group called the musettes. Normally not my thing but itbis a blast being able to get together with 30 something women and sing for a few hours a week. Its something to do. I told micah...most people get anxiety from having to much to do....i get anxiety if i dont have an over loaded schedule! Crazy huh?
I clearly need some hobbies you can do with a baby around. As soon as it warms up i know we will got for lots of long walks. And i guess i could do some scrapbooking and crafting. I just need someone to need me to do it and have a deadline. Or else...it doesnt feel like i need to do it. I know i sound like a crazy lady....but it has been an adjustment.
Carson has learned a lot lately. He loves sticking out his tounge, rolling over, laughing, copying his mommy and daddy, hes starting to roll, he trys to sit up by himself, and he started rice cereal. This kid is growing up so fast!! Im so blessed to have him aroumf hes teaching me to slow down and enjoy life!! Which is probably a blessing!
